Group GO! Formations acquires Institut Europeen de Formation Professionnelle (IEFP)

Jul 9, 2025

GO! Formations continues its regional growth strategy with the acquisition of Institut Européen de Formation Professionnelle (I.E.F.P) and the takeover of Association Européenne de Formation Professionnelle (A.E.F.P), two complementary organisations based in Ludres, on the outskirts of Nancy. This transaction marks a new milestone in the group’s consolidation efforts in the Grand Est region, supported by Activa.

Founded in 1997 Charles Calmus and taken over in 2011 by Stéphane Lambert, I.E.F.P has set itself up as a recognised player in the fields of handling, safety, and prevention. The organisation primarily targets employees through short, practical, and certified training programs, closely aligned with on-the-ground needs. A.E.F.P complements this activity by focusing on training job seekers through programs funded by public entities. Together, the two entities share the same management team, facilities, and a pragmatic, employability-driven educational approach.

The integration of these entities enables GO! Formations to strengthen its regional presence in the Grand Est region by setting up a long-term footprint in the Nancy area, a strategic location for its clients and partners. It also offers strong complementarities with the group’s historic site in Toul, fostering local synergies in terms of teaching, resources, and operational coverage.

This acquisition is part of a targeted consolidation strategy that supports a strong regional project, aiming to better address the growing demand from companies and public funders for local training programs focused on high-demand professions. It also reinforces the group’s expertise in safety and prevention, in line with the sectors already addressed by GO! Formations.

Stéphane Lambert will continue to lead the business under an operational mandate, while joining the GO! Formations project. His commitment to this new phase ensures managerial continuity, preserves local expertise, and secures team commitment to a shared project.

Thierry Mangin, Sébastien Picard, Julien Matter and Mathieu Piquard, Partners at GO! Formations, commented:
This deal addresses a strong demand from our clients and partners in the Nancy area. It allows us to increase our presence in a strategic region while integrating a well-established organisation that complements our business model. We remain committed to building a solid, agile, and locally anchored regional network.

Stéphane Lambert, head of I.E.F.P, added:
Joining GO! Formations allow us to pursue our mission with greater resources and a shared vision. We have found a partner who understands the realities on the ground, respects our identity, and embraces a collective ambition to enhance the skills of the trainees we support.

Alexandre Masson et Christophe Parier, Managing Partners at Activa, concluded:
This acquisition proves the strategic consistency of GO! Formations’ project based on controlled growth, operational excellence, and stronger ties with local employment hubs. The integration of I.E.F.P and A.E.F.P marks the beginning of a promising new chapter in the Group’s development.
