Group GO! Formations acquires Institut Nemo
Jun 24, 2025
GO! Formations, a leading provider of occupational risk prevention training in France’s Grand Est region, announces its fourth external growth operation with the acquisition of Institut Nemo. This strategic merger enables the group to expand its training portfolio and establish a presence in the diploma-granting education market.
Founded in 2003 by Pierre Bitane and Jacques-Olivier Broner, Institut Nemo is a well-regarded work-study training center, renowned for its academic excellence in the fields of transport and logistics. Based in the Île-de-France region, it trains over 340 learners each year, with a strong focus on high-demand professions (warehouse operator, logistics technician, BTS GTLA program…). Institut Nemo ranks among the top five logistics training providers in the region and is the market leader for BTS GTLA in its catchment area, commanding nearly 30% of the regional market share and over 50% in the southeastern and eastern sectors of Paris.
At a time when the logistics industry faces significant skills shortages and increasing recruitment needs, Institut Nemo has established itself as a key player by concentrating on the most sought-after certified and diploma-granting programs—highly valued by employers and supported by public funding bodies. Thanks to its sustained growth, strong ties with the professional sector, and a deep understanding of operational challenges, the institution stands out for the quality of its services. Its recognized expertise and the complementarity of its training offer with that of GO! Formations were decisive factors in the decision to join forces.
With Institut Nemo becoming a new subsidiary, GO! Formations now integrates Level V and higher qualifications (diplomas before and after the baccalaureate, ranging from TP3 to TP7), filling a gap in its previous offering. This acquisition also marks the group’s entry into the Île-de-France region and lays the groundwork for a gradual rollout of diploma-granting programs in its historical centers across the Grand Est—an area showing strong resilience and promising prospects in logistics. Pierre Bitane, founder and CEO of Institut Nemo, will retain his operational role and remain a shareholder in the company.
Thierry Mangin, Sébastien Picard, Julien Matter, and Mathieu Piquard, partners at GO! Formations, commented:
“The integration of Institut Nemo represents a key milestone in our ambition to become a major national player. We share with its founders a deep commitment to quality and a constant drive for pedagogical innovation. This acquisition strengthens our strategic positioning and expands our expertise in high-potential sectors.”
Pierre Bitane, founder of Institut Nemo added:
“Joining the GO! Formations group is a turning point in Institut Nemo’s journey. United by a shared commitment to educational excellence, we are combining our strengths to better meet the evolving needs of our clients. This partnership opens new avenues for regional expansion and reinforces our presence in the Paris area.”
Alexandre Masson and Christophe Parier, Managing Partners at Activa, concluded:
“This new acquisition reflects the strong growth momentum driving GO! Formations. The integration of Institut Nemo strengthens a bold project based on sustainable growth, uncompromising quality standards, and a solid, coherent territorial strategy. We are confident that this collaboration will generate lasting synergies—both operational and strategic—for all stakeholders.”
