GROUPE DESEGUR announces the strategic acquisition of Global Certification

Jan 7, 2026

Desegur Group, a specialist in Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) services for the healthcare and nuclear sectors, announces the acquisition of Global Certification, a subsidiary of the Aftral Group, to strengthen its third-party certification offering.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Rungis, Global Certification is a certification body accredited by COFRAC across all of its activities. The company primarily operates in three areas: asbestos-related certification, certification of CACES training organizations, and a range of certification services dedicated to the services and industrial sectors. Led for the past six years by Elvire Thobois, who will remain in her role following the transaction, Global Certification relies, as of year-end 2025, on a team of around fifteen employees supported by a network of external experts.

For Desegur, this acquisition is fully aligned with its strategy to strengthen its third-party certification platform. It marks the Group’s entry into the asbestos and CACES certification markets, while further consolidating its historical positions in the nuclear sector and ISO certifications.

This transaction is part of Desegur’s broader sector consolidation strategy, initiated in 2024 with the acquisitions of Bureau de la PCR and DSG IT, and accelerated following Activa’s entry into the Group’s capital in 2025.

Loïc Charbonnier, CEO of the Aftral Group, commented:
Desegur’s proposal stood out as a compelling opportunity to support the next phase of Global Certification’s development. For Aftral, this divestment is also fully consistent with our strategy of continuing to finance targeted investments in our core business.

Céline Dott and Alexandre Filali, founders and CEOs of Desegur Group, added: “This acquisition represents a key milestone for Desegur Group. It immediately broadens our exposure to high value-added markets and reinforces our position as a leading TICC player in France. By welcoming Global Certification and its teams, we are strengthening our third-party certification expertise while accelerating our growth trajectory alongside Activa. Our ambition is clear: to build a best-in-class platform, recognized for its rigor, client proximity and capacity for innovation, serving the most demanding sectors.

Christophe Parier and Alexandre Masson, Managing Partners at Activa, concluded:
We are proud to support this transaction, which once again demonstrates that Desegur Group, led by Céline Dott and Alexandre Filali, has all the assets required to play a key role in the consolidation of the French TICC market. This acquisition notably enables the Group to expand its certification offering into high value-added segments.
